Visitors...

My cousin Ami and her boys came over with her mom to visit today. It was a short visit, but we were glad they came. Ami lived in Laverne for a few years and moved away just months before we came. I wish she lived here. I would have enjoyed her friendship.

Meet Haddon...he's just one day older than MK and walking!

Isn't he cute!

I like this one of him holding mommy's hand.

Pizza Night!

MK LOVES pizza! Here are a few pictures in all of her delight!

Looking at these pictures, I just realized we've just about got the O-S-U down. I see the "O" and the "U". Now we just have to work on that tricky "S". We definitely won't just stop here!!

Shepherd Reunion

When my mom was younger, she would go to Red River with all of her cousins, aunts, and uncles. My Aunt Ginger decided to plan a reunion this year for all that could go. Luckily, it just so happened that MK and my schedules were clear. Kizzy and her boys got to come up as well. The 6 of us (including 3 car seats) loaded into the suburban on Monday and stayed until Friday. I think there were a total of 24 that stayed in our lodge, but we had others staying in the same complex. A big thank you to my mom for taking us and to Ginger for planning the trip. It was so nice to get a break from the 100+ heat and to spend time with family.

The place of congregation

The means of travel--we always were sure to carry drinks and snacks!

One of my favorite pics of the trip. Is this not the picture of tranquility?

Evening Stroll

A Little R&R at Red River

I think MK liked the cowboy hat!
Although MK's face doesn't show it, Ginger is really great with the kids!

Time for a little patty cake

This was fun! So fun, we did it twice.

Aunt Ginger, Ev, and Bella (the horse)

The Shoot 'Em Up!

We went to watch this...
But it turned out that Everett feeding his snow cone to MK and Wyatt was more entertaining! Also entertaining was Wyatt and MK interacting with eachother. We walked everywhere this week with our stroller. It was fun to watch them play and "talk" to eachother.

A ride to the top...

We rode the ski lift to the top of the mountain. Kiz and I were in one chair, mom and Ev in another. It was 27 minutes up and I held on tightly to MK the entire time.
A great pic of Kiz and her two (well I guess three) boys!
MK and I at the top of the mountain

This pic cracks me up--there's the obvious comical expression on my mom's face, MK's disgruntled face, Wyatt trying to walk away. We told Ev to give grandma a hug, but I guess we forgot to tell him to face the camera.

Time in Tennessee

Are you quite impressed with my play on "T"s for the titles?!

Here are some final pictures to wrap up our great trip to TN!
All the great-grandkids with Grandma and Grandpa Rigsby

Waiting at the old school house for the ride to be over so we can fill our tummy!

Tennessee Tractor Ride

This is the third year that Roger's family has had a tractor ride over the 4th of July weekend. For those of you, like myself, that don't quite know what I'm referring to...
Here we've got the line of tractors. This was near the half way point --around mile 14.
The tractors ranged from very old to quite new, some pretty, some not so pretty.... As you can tell from my descriptions, I know a lot about tractors.

Mary Katherine and I did not participate in the riding of the tractors, but we stationed ourselves at different points, watching them pass by and taking pictures. Thank goodness Roger's sister was with me or else we would have been lost the entire day!

This is one of MK's great-grandmas. I think this picture is precious!

MK did get to get into a tractor the day before the tractor ride.

Tennessee Trio

Over the 4th of July, the three of us made a road trip to Tennessee to see Roger's family. Mary Katherine did really well in the car. We were pleansantly surprised.

All of MK's Tennessee cousins--Bethany, Caroline, Blake, and Addison!
